Coati in Canopy

These guys are such a treat to watch ! I have plenty of clean shots of them foraging up close, but for some reason this is my favorite. He is up fairly high on a tree on the banks of a river (Rio Clara). By takin a narrow trail that goes up the steep forested slope along the river, I got to watch him at eye level in his canopy.

I wish his feet were visible :frown:

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Feet not necessary for this one for me. They would lessen the secretive, from the canopy look from the animal. I'd consider removing the vertical vine.

I really like this coati shot up in the trees. Well done.

Difficult shooting conditions there in CR Anand, but you did very well here to get to eye level with him and to get him nicely framed amongst the dense vegetation. Exposure is perfect and I like the chosen DOF. I also do not miss the feet at all as this is all about the coati in its habitat. The vertical vine is a bit unfortunate, but also very much part of the scene so I would leave it in.

He looks great. I would, however, experiment with a crop to vertical.
