Lowly Dandelion

Nikon D300, Sigma 150. F/22, 1/80, ISO 200.

The lowly dandelion is quite pretty, if viewed properly. They are tenacious but edible, the leaves that is! I have mowed down millions, but they rebloom with vengeance. Comments appreciated.

I agree with the assessment, Albert. Dandelions have a great survival instinct. They sure make good photographic subjects like your photo demonstrates. Looks like a designer umbrella

Nicely done. Very pretty and nice detail in this view. After seeing them this way, I think I'll let mine grow instead of pulling them. I just hope my neighbors share my new found appreciation for the lowly dandelion.

Albert:
Really nice pop with yellow on black! Great details and good exposure. You must be lying on the ground to get this image.

I applaud you for finding beauty in the ordinary and even the unwanted! Great color and details. Very vivid against the black BG.

That is the most beautiful Dandelion shot I have ever seen, Albert! Great background to show this off so well. Gorgeous yellow color and the comp is spot on. :toast:

I've never seen a better dandelion image, Albert ! Love especially the array of ? stamens at the top - but everything here works well, not least the striking simplicity of the composition.

Having been away for a week and coming back to mow my gazzilion dandelions I should have paused to enjoy its merits. I didn't but you captured it for me. Great image Albert.
