Waitsfield, Vermont

Needless to say, we've had our fair share of rain here in Central Vermont over the last few days. 7.5 inches fell the other night, causing flooding and much damage, sending residents to shelters. Fortunately for me I'm high and out of town, so nothing on my end to worry about. This was taken last week in the valley. I like it, but I'm not in love with it. Love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks so much for looking.

Hi Mitch - I really like it, too. I rarely see mist in my neck of the woods, so I am always drawn to these kinds of images. I wish there were a tiny bit of mist behind the tallest tree in back. I also really like the processing - nice range of tones.

Beautiful layers....and the black & white conversion works well here. The processing looks spot on

I like it a lot. Love the mood with the fog. Good choice to go B&W, works quite well with this scene.

This is really nice, Mitch. I like the layers in this as well as the nice tonal range throughout. The fog adds some nice mystery to this.

Love the layers and tones capture here. I might favor a slight dodge of the LLC just to keep the tonal values similar across the bottom layer. Well seen and captured!

Hey Mitch. :wavey: First off it's good to hear that you are high and dry. I am really digging the layers and mood in this woodland scene. The fog really sets the table for this one. :toast: BTW how was your trip to CA.

Hey Ed...thanks for dropping me a line. Trip was OK. Not much photography however. I made a trip to Yosemite, but not in the best of photographic conditions. Things were not budding out, as it was still stick season, and the light was harsh. I spent more time photographing my neices two little ones, than anything else. It was great to see my family and just relax for once. :wavey:
