Delicate Play of Light

Gallery: Macro & Close-upPosted May 27, 201166 views4 comments
I was trekking last weekend in central Illinois and came upon this scene when these wild flowers were fortunate to have the soft sun light falling on them when the nearby vegetation was overshadowed by nearby trees...
I like the delicate play of light on the petals.. Increased contrast in PS..
I have few more shots in which the changing light lit up these flowers in beautiful ways.. Glory to mother nature, except for the mosquitoes that were bugging me when shooting this

100 mm macro on 7D
1/1250 f/2.8 iso 320

Thanks for looking C&C appreciated

Manoj:
Well seen and nice capture. Like how the bloom just stands out in the dark. The dark stem is perhaps a little too dark but may be that is your intent to draw the viewer in.

This is a very subtle and beautiful shot, Manoj. Its unusual to see something like this. I like the space you've left around the flowers... it makes them seem even more small and delicate. Excellent!

Thanks for the comments
Gary, I did not do selective dodging.increased the overall contrast of the scene which rendered the stem dark
Thanks Varina and Monica for the comments :)
