Exquisite ! If the squirrels themselves were to set up a studio and take portraits, this is how it would appear. Love the diffused lighting and the sense of being in the undergrowth with them. Considering there arent native to the isles, this is exotic

If only I could get all my images of exotic species looking as sharp, brilliantly exposed and clean-cut as this John I'd be over the moon - LOL ;^)
Seriously, absolutely wonderful job you made of this one, very well done :^)

Looks like it's smiling: I'd smile too if someone took a picture this beautiful of me!

May not be exotic, but this capture is really nice. The details and the DOF in this setting are perfect. Great light.

Not exotic, but beautiful nonetheless. Techs are spot on!

Nice light for such a vegetated setting. Good work. Yes it is crisp and you might even back off the sharpening on the forehead area just a little. Great eye catchlight.

Thanks all.
Strange - you sit in the same hide for years on end and doing the same old stuff and the for some reason something comes out that looks - well - just different.
Wish I could have got this effect with all my bird shots. !
Cheers

John, you've got some fine clarity here at 1/80 s. Not the typical surroundings you expect for a squirrel. Looks almost like he has found a tropical spot to vacation. I might back off on the saturation a bit. Seems a little on the glowing side. I do like how well his feet show up and the warm red tones in his fur. Handsome little critter.
