Kingfisher in the sun

Kingfisher posing in the sun. I'm not sure if the abrupt end of the perch detracts from this to a great degree or not - interested in thoughts?

I think it's a cracking image and particularly like the head angle and that eye! The perch doesn't worry me at all. Lovely portrait Dave. I've never got anywhere near photographing this species.
Best wishes, Rosie.

I dont mind the cut off branch. A very nice portrait and the harsh lighting conditions have been handled well.

A fine portrait, well handled in what looks like some harsh lighting.

Perch works fine for me.

Cheers

Thats a beautiful portrait of the Kingfisher and I really like the light on this and the background colour works really well.
