Another photo from Oregon. I took tis photo using 5D Mark II and 17-40 F4 with Singe Ray worming polarizer filter. The process was simple, single raw processing and some color and tonal adjustment.

5 commentsVery nice. Typically I might comment on the lack of detail in the falls (which is surprising at only .6 seconds?) But in this image the falls are so pure and white that I think it works wonderfully in this scene. An interesting composition because we don't get to see a continuous view of the water; which is a bit awkward since the falls are shooting out in one direction, but the stream comes out from another direction. But I think it works and the viewer can connect the dots so to speak.
The only suggestion I have would be to pull back the green/yellow saturation a bit - at least selectively. There are some spots, on the rocks in the LLC specifically, where the green is a little neon.
I do really like the pureness of the whites contrasted with the greens and the rest of the scene.

Lon: I love what you said. I went back to the image and toned the saturation down a bit selectively. I also managed to get some more details of the water. Now, I even like it more. Thanks a lot for the constructive criticism.
