The light is nice. It looks like he is competing in the world's strongest bear contest. .

Nice light and very intriguing pose. It feels like he is pretending to be part of the rock... My only wish would be for a wee bit more canvas on the left side. Exposure looks perfect for nice hair and eye detail.

Pretty cool shot Ken and I like the 'smile' on its face. A bit more space on the left would be a slight improvement. Furthermore I somehow wish the clipped off BLC of the rock were included; a minor detail yet one that would have made this complete (literally) in my eyes.

Thanks to everybody for your positive comments, I like this as IMHO it contains a little bit of fun, rather than being a "serious" portrait.

Vincent & Lon,

Thanks for the suggestion on more space, having looked at it again, I agree so here is a repost

Very nicely done!
I like the repost better but it seems you forgot to sharpen it.

Delightful image Ken, and certainly the added space is a great improvement on the original post :^)

Going by the repost and taking a closer look now at the original, working on the assumption that you applied sharpening to the subject as well as all the rocks in the original post, if this were mine I would only select and sharpen the subject, the main rock it's leaning on, and the pieces of rock showing in the foreground. As the OOF rocks in the background, with the same amount of sharpening applied, appear to introduce noise that isn't readily apparent in the rest of the image. Just a thought ;^)

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for your constructive comments I really need to sort this out as I seem to have been very hurried in my repost.

Cheers

Ken
