I know that many people do not like these, but like them or not, they are very vibrant and colourful, and when this one landed in a tree in my garden, I took a couple of shots of it.

Techs:
Nikon D300s
Nikon 200-400mm at 400
Handheld with VR on
F4
1/400s
ISO 400

I wasn't sure about the bit of OOF tree coming in from the bottom right, but as that was how I took it, I thought I would leave it, and I thought it gave a nice feel to it

Hi Oscar! I like this a lot. The composition is good with the bird beautifully streamlined and looking right, into the picture. I like the OOF foliage since the colours are similar to the bird's. If I was being picky ,I might have done something about the blue blodge top right. The bird is sharp and detailed and....I like them too.
Hope the exams are going well.....

How the UK is changing, must be global warming. I got sparrows :|

Certainly is a nice vibrant image.

Lovely vibrant image Oscar. Well composed with complimentary colouring - looks like it could have been taken in a tropical country.

The foliage to the end of the perch on the rhs of the image, at first glance, makes it look like some poor cloning has been done....it hasn't of course, but it certainly made me look twice.

Not fussed about the blue bit.

A couple of these birds flew over my place a week or so ago - first time I've seen them in Essex, so maybe they are spreading northwards. :wavey: :toast: :toast:

Beautiful image Oscar - love the colours and composition. I think they are a colourful addition to our fauna but not sure about their impact on other species.

That's a lovely shot! Great comp and detail. The oof stuff doesn't bother me, I think it adds to the image. Also I like the blue, it adds even more colour to a colourful shot! Very tropical!
