Hello everyone,

This is my first post on this great website . Am glad to take a part of this amazing website.

I took this image while I was hiking in Nazwa desert. It was a great hike I really enjoyed it and I realized how tough it is to be walking over the dunes.

Nazwa, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

Canon 5D II, 17-40mm F/4 USM.

Magical Muneeb love the way the shadows diminish to black and the play of light is quite delightful. It is quite possible that some will want to crop the image to a squarer format for me the shadow at the base is all part of its magic.

Beautiful image! Great colors and light. I really like how the colors change from dark on the bottom to light on the top but have a consistent tone throughout. Very nice!

Beautiful work! The curvature of the hills and the soft, warm light are both very pleasing, as is the bit of sun peeking through. Welcome to NPN.

Outstanding, Muneeb. Even the negative space at the bottom works here. I like how even the sky feels warm.

Amazing photograph. I only spent a day out in the dunes during my visits through the UAE, but this pretty much sums up the feeling of the place for me. Excellent first post.

This is a great first post, love the soft light and glow around the dunes. The shadows tend to a crucial character in this image. Very nice feel overall.

Muneeb,

I haven't a chance to welcome you until now - so Welcome to NPN and the Landscape/ESS Gallery. What a grand entrance you've made here with this beautiful and moody dune landscape. The light is quite surreal, almost haunting. A very wonderful capture of the dunes.

My only minor wish would be less foreground. The ripples and detail are not very prominent, plus it's the light and mood of the rest of the landscape that really makes this image work.

Welcome aboard. We look forward to your images and encourage your participation.
