A very bright spot in a very overcast, dreary day. Found this guy near the spot I found the bobolinks last year up at our cabin in Sullivan County, PA

Quite soft - perhaps a large crop? The slow shutter speed also would have been a factor. That being said the colors and composition are solid

Really like your comp here Sharon and the pose of the warbler.

Beautiful pose and bg and the Warbler really stands out, Sharon. The bird looks just a bit soft to my eye.

Great pose and colours!
Since trhe BG is so smooth, maybe the softness is from any NR you used. If so, try using it on the BG only.
Nice!

Nice pose, the head looks like the sharpest part. It would have been nice to stop down a bit here but you didn't have much light to work with.

Excellent composition. The colors seem maybe a bit pale, but an attractive rendition regardless.

Nice comp, Sharon, but not much detail. Perhaps noise reduction applied generally? Good pose and comp, and nice background.

Sharon, Really like your composition, nice head turn and background too. I also like the branches to the left of the perch. The bird stands out very well. Agree about the softness/lack of detail though.

Sharon,
this comp works very well for me. The yellow stands out nicely from the background. I agree about a bit of softness in the subject.

Sharon, these are always such fun little Wablers to shoot. The first thing that stood out with this was the pale yellows. Did you do anything with them? I have never seen one this muted before.

Nice colros and comp on this one Sharon! I agree with the comments already made about the sharpness, but not sure what the cause (i.e., handheld, tripod, etc.)? At that SS it could have even been bird bouncing which I find warblers don't hold very still. Especially when I am shooting these small guys, I will place my ISO at a minimum of 400 and in this low light 800. I think it would have helped. Not sure how you could of shot this anymore open as suggested since you were as open as you can get with a Canon 500mm at f/4.

I'm with everyone else on this. Very nice composition but a bit soft and lacking in detail. A higher ISO would have helped.
Concerning the color/saturation this is not the typical look of adult eastern Yellow Warblers, but I've been startled to see how pale this species can be here in AZ. So I think this is within the range for the species even if unusual in the east.

Aside from apparent softness, a very appealing image with the eye and the head turn. Cute little guy.
