I am sorry that I haven't been here for a while as I have been so busy in last a few months. Recently I participated in Kah Kit's New Zealand Photography workshop. Here is a photo I took during this trip. In fact, it was taken in the same location of Kah Kit's Falling Sky image, but at different time on the same day. Your comments are particularly important to me. Thanks in advance.

That's one beautiful sky, and the foreground elements complement it real well. Perfectly exposed, too.
The perspective is so low that it feels like the water is lapping right at me. I also like the rocks in the lower right corner that aren't submerged. Adds some nice dimension to the whole.

The matching between the red leaves in the foreground and the oranges in the sky makes this image for me. I would have loved to see more of those leaves in the picture!

That's a killer sky you've captured here, Yan. The rocks in the lower right really are a great addition.

Very pretty Yan. What I really like about this is how the cloud color mimics the leave color at the bottom. Very nicely composed and processed.

If I recall this is the one where some leaves were lost after correcting the tilt? Nevertheless a lovely image that captures some of the best light we witnessed on the trip.

A beautiful image, Yan. I like the blue WB that accentuates the cool shadows and the breaking warmth in the sky. The relationship with the sky and leaves is also a strong element that ties the image together nicely. There is a slight feeling that the image is a little off-balance and panned to the left, and I have a strong desire to see more leaves and dry rocks in the bottom R of the frame.

Hi Folks, thanks very much for your comments on this image. Kah Kit was right, there were more leaves in the original shoot but the horizon was titled quite a lot, so after cropping, some pretty leaves were lost.
