Barn and Buzzards

Taken in NE Kansas over Mother's Day Weekend.
This is apparently an old dairy barn which has been in disuse for many years.
The buzzards where a lucky catch.
To me it lends the ambiance of looking for the dead around a dead human effort. A sense of foreboding, if you will.

Suggestions appreciated.

I was wondering about "levelling" it more and debated between keeping the far barn edge vertical or making the background line lower on the left??? The latter would tilt the barn edge. I did apply a mild keystone correction.

Nikon d700, 28 mm f/2.8 manual Nikkor.
CaptureOne Pro6.2 and Nikon NX2 processing. No crop.

If my thinking is correct, lowering the left bg would tilt the barn up a bit on that side, which might work to lead the viewers eyes towards the buzzards and strengthen the sense of desolation you were talking about. IMO that would be a good thing. As is, this is an intriquing image and the b&w treatment is an excellent call.

I like the weathered wood Larry. Did not catch they were buzzards fly high above..... but now that I know, they do add a sense of foreboding. B&W conversion works well here.
