My Hometown

I've had the good fortune to have traveled and photographed in some pretty cool places. For the past 15 years, I've called Newmarket, NH my home, but have neglected to make many photographs of it during that time. I thought there was always somewhere else that had more opportunity. I plan on taking in the local flavor a bit more, and the beauty that is in front of me every day. This is the waterfront that connect the Lamprey River to Great Bay and then the Atlantic. A short window exists between trees barren of leaves to full on foliage that will block the classic New England white church.

This is a gorgeous scene Harry.... the reflection and wonderful color. We pass through this area (not specifically as shown in your image) when we go to collect my son who is studying at UNH..... 30 miles away from where we live now (111 to 125 to 4 to 151). I have yet to explore the NH coast but marvel at how much it reminds me of the Maine. Absolutely beautiful! Thinking more about it lately, I find my home turf and local favorites (Maine, Atlantic Canada get more notice here on NPN than my travels a far. Thanks for posting this.

Sweet photo. Love the sharpness of the crooked poles against sky and water.
