Driftwood
by Ron Pederson
With all the snow melt and rain in last couple of weeks the rivers and lakes are rimmed by lots of driftwood and debris. This was shot at Meacham Lake a couple of days ago in mid afternoon with bright blue skies and puffy clouds. The sky was shot about 5 miles NE of this location just before the sun topped the horizon about a week ago. So, this is a composite with some Photoshop work to change the mood to daybreak. Large version provided.

6 commentsNice selection of images. The linear elements of logs, hills, and clouds works very well. This all works very well together. My only suggestion might be to try flipping the sky horizontally. The logs run down to the right, the hills run down to the right and the sky runs down to the right. Flipping the sky might hold the eye on the image better. Well executed!
Flip the sky? I think it's just fine as posted..Of course, I have a "slanted" view of things..My own
Well done
