A blue sheep on guard duty ! Well, not all lambs are hers. Baby blue sheep form creches and start learning to climb and negotiate rock barely days after being born. The females take turns in caring for the group. Their biggest threats are from golden eagles, wolves, snow leopards and lynxes,

Although not apparent, this is close to 5000 metres above sea level. This was the first blue sheep herd that accepted my close presence and i have fond memories of it.

Taken three years ago in Ladakh (northern India). I had to look through my old stuff to come up with something fitting for mother's day

You have frozen in time what must have been a very active scene. Perhaps the altitude isn't "visible" but the ruggedness of the terrain is apparent. Very fitting for mother's day.

Very difficult lighting, but I think you handled it quite well. If this was my photo I would darken the image as a whole by a slight amount (maybe -0.33), and I would selectively lighten the goats. Overall a very interesting image, and another animal in their environment photo (my favorite!)

Great superhero pose from the guardian of these lambs. Always nice to be ignored by the animals when you're in their habitat.

Nice family pic Anand. I like it that the eyes of all individuals are visible and number four (on the left) creates a much more dynamic and interesting composition by standing apart. The light is rather harsh unfortunately and I think Joe's suggestions could help to reduce that harsh look. Further I would desaturate the image just a little.

I like how inquisitive the lambs look, two looking forward and two to the rear. Great mom's day image, Anand. Was worth the search in the old archives.
