Prima Ballerina

This is a white ranunculas near the end of its bloom. The way the petals flow it reminds me of a dancer twirlling.
With the age of the bloom I know this might not appeal to everyone but I really like the translucence of the petals and the implied motion.

All comment most appreciated.

Bob: Wonderful title and lighting. One wouldn't think this was a bloom in decline. 4+ beautiful shot.>=))>

It is lovely Bob. And it is very much like swirling dance costumes.

Superb light Bob and exceptional detail. An exceptional image for that matter - at least for my tastes.

Bob, I love the crepe like texture on the petal and the overal petal orientation for this Ranunculus  - cool lighting on this puts it over the top.

I think this is great. The translucent petals really do make it look like the seed is doing a veil dance.

Appeals to me, Bob - but then I like decay for some obscure reason ( smile ) ! The textures are just superbly captured, the lighting and composition excellent - and I love the title.
