Middle Prong Spring - Great Smokies - April 16 of this year

It had rained hard all the previous night & this was early the next morning. All the creeks in the area were raging. This shot is more documentary than artistic, but interesting patterns of the water over the rocks, that are all normally exposed at regular water flow. Just after I snapped this shutter, the skies opened up again with more torrential rain.

Canon 5DII, TS-E 24mm, F11, ISO640, 1/4 sec.

Excellent job of conveying the rush of the water. The flowering dogwood int he BG is a nice touch too.

Beautiful water texture, and like Bill said, that Dogwood is a plus element!

Wow excellent contrast of almost violent water and peaceful trees. Nice job.

Fine shot. The water almost feels uncomfortably close. Interesting you describe it as more documentary than artistic. I would've thought the other way around.
