Sunflower + REPOST

This picture was taken in a field near my house. It had been raining the day before, and a little bit before I went out.

I thought that I should post it because I really liked the raindrops on the petals.

I don't remember commenting on one of your images before Jenaya so welcome to the gallery. I like the colors in this and also your dof decision. The only thing I might consider doing is cropping this tighter to the flower in order to emphasize the flower and the droplets a bit more. I particularly like the mood of the image.

Beautifully lit image, Jenaya, and I like the sense of depth which the fg stems on the R give. I agree with Pat that a crop is possible, but I would certainly keep the environmental feel of this. Hope to see you doing more floral shots !

Jenaya: Welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet and thanks for a delightful image. I like your crop as is but can see one a touch tighter. In the field I think I would have made the dead head go away and probably the tan stem coming off the 7 o'clock position of the flower. Great to have you aboard and looking forward to more.>=))>

I cropped in tighter, like Pat suggested, and decided to post it to see what you think. I would appreciate knowing which version you like better: the original that I posted, or my repost.

I think it's six of one and half a dozen of the other really, Jenaya - they are two different images. I did like the environmental feel of the first, but probably, for me personally, the repost has perhaps greater impact.
