Spring On Bear Creek

Starting to look more like spring here but we need a week or two yet to get to this look. This is another one from Bear Creek that I already had. I posted a couple others from close to this spot, but this is one I hadn't done anything with yet. It was made in the late afternoon while fighting off many mosquitoes, but I was enjoying the view. Thanks for looking and any thoughts.

The dappled light, varied elements, and excellent processing has this working well. Not thoughts at all for change or improvement.

I really like your recently posted photos, Nick. Same with most from you NPN gallery :)
This one with its light, the colour, spring flowers in the FG does fall to to the same "I love it" category. Beautiful!

I look forword to this view myself in the next few months, minus the mosquitoes. This look alot like some of the areas I hike here in Michigan. I like the openness of the woods that creates an inviting area for the eye to travel and also the dotted color the flowers add.

What a pleasant scene! Could maybe use a little brightening?

Great 'mood' shot. Pleasant, serene, reflective. It's a lovely image but, for me, the 'wow' factor is in the feelings it evokes. Very nice!

Pretty sweet image, Nick. You handled some difficult light very well here.
I'm jealous - it's practically still winter here in Montana!

Nice, relaxing image. Good exposure and detail throughout. Where was this taken? It looks very similar to an area I go to here in central Illinois, I even had to compare this image with one of mine. I was surprised at how similar it is. Thanks for sharing. I hope I can get an image as good as yours.

Thanks very much Peter and John.
John, This was taken about 3 miles from my home here in S.W. WI. The creek is Bear Creek and this is only about 100 yards before it runs into the Wisconsin River. Interesting that you have a very similar location. Thanks much! Nick

This is a real winner, Nick, with beautiful light, the lovely flowers in the foreground, the peaceful stream in the middle ground, and a continuation of the forest in the background. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I love the light, the beautiful colors, and the composition. A gem.

Thanks Jay! Appreciate your thoughts. This morning I just finished doing a 24x36 canvas print (all sprayed, stretched and ready to hang) and it looks really nice. Pretty happy with it, and sold it about an hour ago. Cheers, Nick
