This images was taken last week at the rookery in High Island Texas. Comments and suggestions welcomed and encouraged.

I just realized that I was shooting on Med-RAW 10 mega pixels instead of RAW 18 mega pixels, but I'm going to post anyway.:frown: Maybe that why I did not have as much noise as I usually see.

I love this shot Dottie. I'm not sure it suffered from lack of resolution at all. You might be able to bring out more detail in the whites on her back for some improvement. I would be way tickled with this shot.

Image quality looks just fine to to me, Dottie. I really like that the eggs are visible. The dark background really helps the Egret stand out well. Excellent job on the exposure. I do wish that stick was not intersecting the bill, but this is great as posted.

Dottie,
the bird stands out very well from the dark background, the detail seems excellent and the nest with eggs is great.
Well done. :toast:

Nice image Dottie. Getting a glimpse of those blue eggs really sets this off. Nice detail in the Egret. You've done a good job of getting the bird in the open. There gets to be a lot of vegetation on High Island at this time of year and it can be tough to get a clean shot.
