I watched this bird hop the front fence walk the entire length of the drive way and hop the fence on the opposite corner. His ancesters owned this place before me and he is welcome anytime.

Nice capture, Charlie! We have wild turkeys wandering around our area also. Sometimes up to 30 will cruise the neighborhood looking for droppings from bird feeders. Ours are welcome too; haven't seemed to do much damage at this point. They are great fun to watch.

Nice portrait Charlie. There is a flock of wild turkeys were I work that terrorize people as the walk through the parking lot.

Hi Carolyn, I haven't seen more than a few here at our place. Our place is mostly open pasture with just a small wooded area and I see them mostly in woods.

Eva, you mean they chase and peck at people? Urban birds of all kinds act differently than wilderness birds. Ours are more cautious of people. Not easily spooked like some birds but cautious.

Good shot. Might you consider toning down or cloning those bright spots in background?

I like that little bit of light creating a soft edge. Neat shot - and a really beautiful bird.
