Running Hard

This creek was running hard in the Greenbriar area of the Great Smokies in North Carolina -- 4/16/11. It had rained all night the previous night. The wind was also blowing big time - so there are a few leaves moving, even in the lulls.

Wick, this really says spring. The water looks great and all the new green leaves are wonderful. This sure does make me wish I was there. Nice work.

A fine image, Wick. Greenbrier was flowing pretty crazy when I was there in October too, I really like that portion of the park! I like the cool water and good shutter speed.

Great scene and the water looks perfect. Looks like a challenging place to photograph. Well done.

This looks like a beautiful location. I really like the detail that you have captured in the water. I can almost hear the sound of the rushing water. I like the subtle variation in color in the foreground. The fallen branch kind of interrupts the flow of the composition a little, but that is just a minor nit in what is an otherwise enjoyable photo.
