Love how the stream leads to those trees in the sun. Great composition. I wish there wasn't quite so much white in the stream since that might become a little over powering in a big print... just trying to find something negative... because you suck

Dude, killer. That golden light on the water is amazing. Ian Plant might suck, but this shot rocks.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that gets obsessed with a vision, puts on the waders, and enters the streams in the Smokies in hopes of finding that perfect comp. This shot definitely doesn't suck. The contrast is perfectly controlled to convey the feeling you were after. :toast:

Great visual flow into the background Ian, maybe the edges are bordering on too dark but that's just personal opinion. Nothing wrong a good natural vignetting!

The light in the background and the golden reflection on the water makes this special. I also like how you made an abstraction with the exposure, it helps me focus in the nice light and the background.

Great shot of a small eastern woodland stream. The golden bit of sunshine and reflection in the distance make a pleasant resting place for the eyes.

You really should tie yourself in when wading these streams. Nice image though and very iconic for the Smokies. The reflected light is awesome. I have two days left in the Smokies and this will be inspiration.

Nice shot Ian, although I don't feel it's one of your strongest images. The flow leading to the reflected light on the stream is nice.

I like the colors and contrasts in the water. Interesting article, so well written.
Your writing talents are amazing. I agree with keeping your ego in check and a humble disposition, but some parties (and websites / blogs) can be downright and unfairly mean. Below the belt if you will.
I really enjoy your images and words Ian.

wasn't me, i would have written it in blood (more dramatic...)
I like this shot, especially the depth and light in the distance. Would prefer a tad more texture in the fg water, but thats personal preference. :wavey:
