This is such an appealing image, such clarity, great comp and light and colors. The upper right ant makes the image, but without all the others, including the ones "inside" the leaves, it wouldn't be nearly as interesting. I like this a lot.

Gorgeous! The golden colors of the ants really stand out against the dark background. Barbara is right about the relationship between the ants in the image - I agree with her completely. The veins in the leaves are a really nice detail.

Works very well. As said before, the ants really pop against the black background and it's so nice to see a couple peeking out from behind the leaf. Had an interesting article in today's (or yesterday's) paper about how fire ants grab onto each other to create floating rafts to escape drowning.
