Hello! I am new to NPN!

I live in Hotchkiss, CO., a small town on the western slope, with my wife and two children ages 7 & 11. I am an elementary school principal. I have only being involved in photography for about 16 months,and I am obsessed with it! I look forward becoming a better photographer through feedback from fellow photographers at NPN Currently the 5th grade students at my school use some of my pictures as writing prompts, but they are not very critical, they love what they choose to write about.

Welcome Doug,

I think you'll learn allot here on the website, I certainly have. There's many niches in the Natural world Image scene as you can tell from the Gallery categories and that has expanded my vision as well, especially floral. Don't be shy about commenting even if your new, that and posting sharpens your mind subjectively. Looking forward to more posts you live in an interesting area.

welcome to NPN Doug. There's a wealth of information and a wide variation of styles to learn from. I don't know if I want to let 5th grade students critic my work, they ain't afraid to speak their mind!! ;)
