Red Tailed Hawk #2

Another image of a Red-tailed Hawk I observed eating a duck lunch last week. Viewer comments from the original posting and question "how much blood n guts is OK,) found most of you preferred the full un-cropped, unadulterated version showing nature and all her realism. Thanks for your comments and input. I believe I mentioned seeing this particular RT before and noted how unafraid of autos and people he is, often using close up perches. It is his traits and a bit of lucky timing that permitted my image recording.

Larger version available, Thank you for stopping.

Not as dramatic as the previous version but a fine image in its own right.

Nice, Craig. Any chance you could have maneuvered to get a bit of separation between the Hawk and the tree trunk? I think it would be more powerful with a slightly different angle-the bg is sweet.

Very cool image, Craig. Not sure it is one I would hang on my wall, but great job capturing this feeding behavior. That moss covered perch is great. Not sure if this has already been cropped at all, but I would be tempted to take a bit off of the right side.
