Ajaia ajaja

The sun was setting when I photographed this Roseate Spoonbill in Florida and the tide was coming in fast. I loved the late evening light in this image.

Nikon D200, handheld laying in the shallow water of a lagoon, f6.3, 1/400, ISO 250, 80-400mm VR at 400mm, 76% of the original frame, natural light. Larger version provided.

As always I sincerely appreciate your comments and critiques on my images. Thank you for looking.

That's beautiful Mia. I love the light effect on the bird with the dark green water and BG. Superbly done!

Beautiful light. Has a nice sense of serenity. I like the BG and the color in the hint of reflection provides a nice little break to the darkness of the water.

A super moody image Mia. The low angle and light are wonderful. What makes this image for me is the small hint of the bird's reflection in the water. Just really a super look. Your usual top-notch detail and sharpness as well. Not much else to say.

The light is awesome, every photographer's dream situation. It produces a soft feel, while also bringing out the textures. Worth getting wet for, Mia.

Beautiful low angle and detail Mia... only thing I can think of maybe to try is cropping a hair more along the bottom. Nice work for sure!

I like how the nice soft light really brings out the feather detail and the low angle on this gives the water a surreal look to me. Wonderful composition and background add to the image, way to go, nice job in getting this excellent shot.

I find it interesting how important the sun setting light is to this image, Mia. It is really what makes this image special. In more conventional light this would be an attractive but average image. With it, we see this beautiful gradient across the bird bringing out the colors to different degrees. :toast:
