I haven't had much luck this year with foxes, so I've been going through older fox shots to avoid serious vulpes withdrawal...

As always, comments & suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Sweet shot - I like the habitat, look at the mothers eye and the fact that it seems undisturbed by your presence. The lush green grasses are also a nice contrast

Love the light in this one. Together with the apparently unconcerned attitude of the mother, feeding babies, and lush, green grasses, it gives a nice sense of a peaceful meadow.

Hi Guy,

This one's great - I have to admit I had no clue the kits were there from the thumbnail - real nice surprise when I saw the "real" image. I agree with the positives mentioned by both Luke and Steve. My only tiny nit is about something you had no control over - just wishing those long grasses weren't overlapping quite so much with the kits (so they'd show a little better).

Very well done - thanks for sharing this one...

Nice perspective. The ears peeking out from under mom and through the grass are visible enough to tell story. The deadfall's a minor distraction, but this is really the right choice of crop and composition, IMO.

A lovely scene overall Guy and technically well executed. Those long grasses are a real pity though.

Endearing ! Wouldnt change a thing... Moms caution and content is brought out nicely in her expression.

Lovely shot. The color contrast between the foxes and the grass really makes the mom and her kits stand out. In spite of her looking away, her left ear looks to be cocked your way...listening carefully.

And there I was too thinking from the thumbnail that this was merely another well composed Fox shot; appealing as this image would be if it were just that, the kits now reveled make this a whole lot more than merely appealing! What I wonderfully intimate moment you've captured here Guy, very well done despite the best attempts of the grass to get in your way ;^) :^)

I like the soft feel to the image. It is just enough sharp. The colors are very natural and contrasting.

Wish you had some more space on the right. It seems too tight.

Really like this as is. But I'd also like to see it with some of the left side cropped out. Very well done and an endearing image. Good one, Guy.

Love the interaction on this one and the intent look mother has watching out for trouble while feeding.
