Among the uneducated in the Deep South, there was a superstition that “If you throw a snake on the fence, It’ll rain”


:cool: Looks like this unnamed Texan still believes it. But, it just “don't” work. We haven’t had a drop of rain. And it looks like there is none in sight. No fires here..but fire ban in effect!

Thought about putting this in Man and Nature, but decided it might be more appreciated in the photo art gallery. I did "age" the photo, even though it was taken last week.
I hope you don't mind the framing. This was "one skinny crop"!!! :biggrin:

Interesting. It would be nice for your fellow Texans if it did work. As for the photo. I think it works just fine. I kinda like the skinny crop in the frame. It strengths the aged feeling.

While another snake on Photo Art. I was never a fan of snakes but this is nicely processed. This has a nostalgic quality :smile:
