An image captured this past weekend up in York Beach, ME. I was waiting for a brilliant sunset that never came my way (how often do we all say that!)...

So, a B&W conversion was the result. I've always like B&W renderings of images from Maine...somehow they communicate a feeling that the state itself seems to exude. But that's just my own opinion....

Shot at 24mm....

All C&C is welcomed and appreciated!

I think the B&W version works. The upward splashing over the rock is what garners my attention. I personally would like to see the foreground lightened a little in order to see more detail in the rocks.

Hi Robert - I agree that B&W brings out the less recognized ruggedness of the Maine coast. I spend a lot of time in mid coast Maine in Boothbay. The lines in the rocks are what strike me the most as they do in your image as do the radiating lines in the sky. We also have the luck of eerie skies every now and then. Nice wave action. A little distortion from the wide angle but not a big deal.
