Nicely done, Jim. Good head turn, soft background and plenty sharp. The large version is very detailed. I like the soft muted colors of the bird. The second twig behind the tail is a little distracting. But a fine image in difficult conditions. :toast:

Jim,

I love the subtle colors of this Brown Violetear, I know this bird would certainly get my attention if I were to see it. I think you handled the exposure very well because I see plenty of detail. I especially love how I can see the translucency of the one tail feather overlapping another. I love the look you seem to be getting too.

I like this a lot Jim. Very nice detail and a uniquely interesting bird for me. I too like the transluscency visible in the primaries. Nicely done in challenging conditions.
