Western Bluebird

Taken at a local park. Very few birds that day and when I was returning to my car this Bluebird showed up. As I would approach, he would only let me get so close. After many attempts I got some shots but I have to crop pretty heavy. Crop is 30% of original.

Comments are appreciated.

I know I should have cloned out the twig at the top and maybe the left side but my skills are not quite there yet.

Really nice - the BB is in a nice pose - almost contemplative.
Harry - Nice detail and colors - and the peeling bark on the perch is great.
Cloning is one of the easiest things in PS - here are a bunch of good basic tutorials, including one on Cloning.

REALLY nice image that will be improved even further by the touch-ups! !!

Hi Harry,

Nice pose. Agree with Harry about cloning out the couple of extraneous twigs.

These little guys are quite skittish and I think you did a good job.

The perch is a little over-powering but that's frankly a nit. We get what we can. Maybe next time he'll find a more slender branch.

Cheers,

Carol

WOW Harry. Nice bluebird. Agree with comment that the perch is a little over powering but I love the peeling bark. You got super nice detail of this little guy from stem to stern and the just pops in the larger version. I agree with Sandy on the contemplative look. I also hope her tip on cloning helps you out. Nice capture my Friend. :toast:

Really like the pose and I'm fine with the size of the perch Harry. I like the peeling bark and the light on the bird but I do think the large crop shows a bit.
