Can't get enough of this place as there's always something to shoot. It was a great still morning with great reflections.

I like the lighting and the water drop a lot here Cheryl, I'm not sure about the comp with that much room on the left side, if you have more room on top and bottom you could try a vertical presentation. :toast:

Great angle and beautiful light, Cheryl. The small catchlight is perfect. :toast:

Very clean and I like the reflection. Might be inclined to take a little off the left, so as not to be too centered.

Very nice capture Cheryl. The sharpness shows well in the large image. I like all of your elements, particularly the water drop coming off the bill and the echoing ripple in the water where it had been feeding. I debated on which way I might be inclined to crop and tend to agree with Nate that it would be from the left. I actually like the position better cropping on the right, but the line in the water cuts so far through the image at that point that it splits it in two even though it doesn't touch the right side. Nicely done.

At first Nate's suggestion of vertical sounded off to me but Itried it and I do like it. That's what makes this site work for me . thanks for all the suggestions

sweet light and pose, Cheryl. love the water drop. I wouldn't have thought of a vertical either, but it works well. I'd also consider horizontal but with less room behind and more in front. very nice.

Cheryl,
I love the repost. Much prefer it to the original. Would never have thought of that but Nate sure knows his stuff. I really like the drop of water at the tip of the beak. Looks very peaceful and serene. I can understand why you like this place Cheryl. Nice post.

Re-post is excellent!
The vertical crop works great.
Perfect colours, lovely soft reflection, and wonderful water. The water drop is a great bonus.

Sweet photo Cheryl!!! The water drop puts this over the top. When I fisrt looked at this, I was wishing for more room on the right side. But, the vertical repost looks great. Perhaps a future cover photo

A nice simple composition. I like the broken and blurred reflection and the water drop. Centered comp works okay for me.
