I loved the way the morning sun illuminated the spring leaves on the little tree tucked away in Eldorado Canyon.

That is a really cool shot, Dan. Like you, I love the way the light has illuminated the leaves on that tree. :toast:

This is some gorgeous light Dan both on the tree and walls of the canyon. Beautiful find.

I like this one, Dan. Love the warm and cool tones on the rock along with the highlighted tree. I might consider burning the brighter rocks top center on the right, but really minor. Nicely done.

What a neat find. Great job putting yourself in a position of great potential and being ready to respond. Is this a scan? I wish I could see a little more detail in the web presentation and some shadows have kind of a funny blue look.

Really really cool Dan - love it. I might move the tree a bit more left via cropping to indicate the sun direction forming a line perpendicular to the big FG diagonal on the left. And I might knock down the highlights on the tree just the tiniest bit.

This definitely a nice find Dan, and the timing for the light is the icing on the cake here.

Great job of balancing the brightly lit tree and the dark rocks. The spotlight effect works very well on the tree and there is so much interesting texture in the rocks. The top parts of the tree do look burned out, but that a minor nit.

certainly a very nice colour palette across the image, and the fall of light was just right!
I wonder how this would have looked if you had placed the tree off-centre with more of the RHS wall included?

Awesome image, Dan. The textures and colors in the rocks are fascinating and the brightness of the bush just pulls me in. :toast:

Perfect lighting you found here, and some interesting colors in the rock. I might consider adding some midtone contrast in the rocks - they look a little hazy to me. This should add some pop to the rocks which I'm sure was there. :toast:

I love the composition and selective light, Dan. I do think the walls are a bit too magenta, though.

That canyon is killer Dan! I love the rock walls. As previously mentioned, the right side in particular is a little hazy. You can probably clear some of that up a bit. Awesome work - I really like this.

What a fascinating place! I love the combination of colors, and the clean and elegant composition. The light is truly special as well. The sharpening looks a little crunchy (I would hope for finer details), and I think you might get a little more range in colors if you shift the colors a little warmer and greener.

Fantastic shot Dan, the nearly centered tree does not bother me at all. I agree with the others about the right hand side wall lacking contrast, should be an easy fix though. :toast:
