Looking at the larger version is a must. In that version the clarity, detail, sharpness and eye are wonderful, and the light in the image can really be appreciated.

Picture perfect Long-billed Thrasher. Not much that could be improved on here, if anything.

Nice image on this Thrasher Sandy. I like the weathered log, the head turn and the eye also pops off the page.

Pose, perch, muted colours of background, crisp presentation - all good.

A really nice study. The larger version shows it off particularly well. The head turn helps and the BG is near perfect.

I loved seeing all these guys in South Texas. I like this pose and the simple background. Nice and sharp. I know there were a couple of different thrashers around, but the ones I imaged had a little more yellow than orange eye.

Angela, I believe the eye color is accurate. Maybe it shows more yellow or more orange from different angles and in different light.
