Nice eye contact, and sharp where it needs to be. I do find the oof leg a little distracting. Probably the only way to bring it into focus is to take several shots and then stack the images. Unfortunately these little guys do not always hand around long enough for you to do it!

Just need a little more DOF for me Oscar, the pose and comp looks fine. Not sure what you did to the top of the image but I can see a straight edge above the eye.

Hi Oscar - a Sig 150 or 180 would stand you in better stead for this type of photography - especially since you are on a crop sensor; this will give you to 'stand off' your subject quite considerably by comparison to your 90mm.

Like Des I'm curious about the line in the BG - I'm surprised you missed this before posting

nicely taken Oscar. I suspect you couldn't do much about the OOF foreground. The head and eye are nice and sharp and composition looks good.

Cracking eye and details around the head; the oof leg I'm sure you could do very little about. Well done on finding light !!

Thanks - Andy, I'm not sure what that line is - it's not on the larger version or the original

Works for me as posted, Oscar. As already mentioned, the contact is very good.

Looks fine to me Oscar :toast:

Not too bothered by the OOF leg as the important bits are sharp

By the way you have dust bunnie on the larger version instead of the line

Looks good. Have you cloned something?

Thanks for the comments

Ian - no, I only cloned a dust spot which was well away from where that line is
