I always try to catch a shot of the Fox Squirrel when the first small wildflowers of Spring bloom here in Central Texas. Small Crows Poison & Verbena in the background.
F/7.1, 1/800th, ISO 640, 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4x and overcast around 4:00pm. About 80% of full frame.

Squirrels are such great subjects. Great sharpness, dof, comp., and I like the environmental shot.

You got a good one here, Howard. Looks so full of life with that pose and gleaming eye. I like how the wildflowers add interest and say spring.

Hi Howard,

I like the "classic" pose and that tail curl is really nice. And, to my eye, the DOF is just about optimal on this one. Techs look solid as well. A nice spring scene!

Cheers...thanks for sharing this one...
