Here's another one from St. Croix in the US VIrgin Islands, this time with a human element.

This is an old sugar mill ruin from the 1700's. They are found all over the island and are a reminder of a bygone era here. I love them because, in addition to their inherent character and history, they are synonymous with the Virgin Islands.

5DMK2, f/16, 16mm, ISO 100 a hand-blend of two exposures: 1/8 second for the sky and 1/2 second for everything else

I like the low angle you chose and the fg grass. The monolith is regal in its decay. I'd like to see a closer veiw that emphasized the wonderful texture in the wall.

Wonderful low perspective Kory. I like the the radiating clouds around the monolith and great color.

I like what you did here Kory. You really made nice use of the clouds surrounding the the old mill, setting it off quite nice. The green grass and blue sky work so nice together. Nice blend too.
