Along the Tombolo della Feniglia (Tuscany, Italy) beach, at dawn.
A stranded tree is unveiled by the retreating waves.
I liked the strong blue dominant of the light and the water veils.

Nikkor 14-24 AFS at 24mm
ISO 200 f/5,6 1,6 sec. Tripod and Wellingtons!

I like the motion here, as well as the light. Your shutter speed managed to blur the foreground waves to show the motion, yet still preserve the larger waves in the distance -- perfect for my tastes. My eye seems to be drawn so quickly to the top that I wonder if darkening the sky a bit would help us concentrate on the water.
Is there land on the horizon on the right side, or is that a small counter-clockwise tilt?
Beautiful combination of warm sunrise glow with cool blue waters.

Thank you for your kind words, Wayne.
I'll try your suggestion about the sky.
Yes, there is a small, flat island on the right side, but I think there is a small CCW twist, too. I straightened the image with the waves as a reference because I didn't like the result when referring to the horizon. There is a small but visible curve to the horizon due to the orientation of the wide-angle lens. :wavey:

This is a second version with the sky darkened.

I quite like the mood here Maurizio! Nice blue tones too...the repost with darker sky works better...I think slightly lifting the brightness of the foreground will better balance the luminance for me...

Maurizio, I prefer the second version. Darkening the sky leads the attention to the surface of the sea with its interesting motion. I enjoy this specific feeling about the first daylight.
