Shot this s few years back. I liked the opposing diagonals of the hills and the two downed trees. Also liked the silhouettes.

This is filled with some interesting forms. Besides the ones that drew you to this composition, even the crown of the tree has a shape that looks like it could have emerged from the notch at the bottom. The range of the blues in the sky is spectacular.

The lone tree, the offset V shaped slope, and the colors are stunning. And the X (fence posts?) inside the V is a treat... The frame tops it off perfectly.

I'd like to see this with the two, straggly, trees on the right cropped out, the two little "sticks" to the left erased....and would either make the stars a tad bigger or paint them out. They are barely visible to me.

Bill,
the various tones of the blue make this image for me, the trees silhouettes complete it. Really nice. :toast:

The color is rich and sets the mood. I can see all kinds of symbolism in the silhouette shapes. I'm pretty sure this is an image no one could ignore if it were hanging on a wall. It certainly draws me in. Very nicely done

BLUE! Beautiful blues. That was my first impression, and just sucked me right into this scene. The tones, brightening as they approach the silhouettes, really helps emphasize this composition. Quite an unusual and original sunset shot.

It's the brilliant blues that got my attention, here. I love that beautiful gradient. I also love the incredible details along the ridge of the hills - all the little plants that stand in perfect silhouette against that great sky. Wonderful color and detail in this shot, Bill.
