Closeups of Lupine have always been a challenge for me. You've
pulled it off, Dan. The colors are beautiful, and I like your choice of
DOF. Thanks for sharing.

Nicely done. I like the near-far comp and your DOF.

Great picture, Dan! Love the colors and nice DOF focusing on the front flower. Great comp. I can't wait for spring either. We just had a snow dusting this morning in eastern PA. :frown:

Wonderfully seen, composed and captured Dan. I really like the mirror effect of the blooms. :toast: :toast:

Dan: Oh most excellent! We're on the cusp of the Texas wildflower bloom where bluebonnets (lupines everywhere else) reign supreme. I like your color saturation, comp and DOF choice. Well done.>=))>

Thanks for the comments. It only took several hundred practice shots to get to this one  Lupine have definately been one of my challenges. Amazing how hard it is to get a good photo of something that's just sitting there waiting for you. Still haven't produced a decent image of a field full of blooms.

One thing about joining a new site is that I get to put up all the best stuff first

Gorgeous colors and I like the echo of the bloom behind. Very beautiful image.
