One That Got Away

The gators were in a feeding frenzy nabbing garfish one after another. But this one shot out from under the gator, or from between its jaws, couldn't tell because of the splash.
Even though its difficult to see the alligator I thought the fish was worth posting.

Good catch. I've seen this a couple of times, when 30 or 40 gators go into a feeding frenzy. An awesome sight! Interesting to see one get away.

I think you're pulling our leg and all that splashing is the fish taking of like a cormorant. Nice capture!

My first reaction was that it's a shame the gator not visible in the shot, but now that I look at it again it is sort of funny because it looks as if this one fish is causing these big splashes.

Wayne, I really wish the gator was visible...without him it is hard for someone in a dry state like mine to figure out what's going on, but the fish coming out of the water is incredible and great timing!
