I love these trees that make a home on these mountainsides.
This is in Eldorado Canyon State Park.

The trees look very nice, but what I love is the great variety of colors in the rock! Very pretty Dan.

I love the beautiful warm light on the trees Dan. The colors and markings on the rocks are also wonderful. Looks like a wealth of abstract possibilities.

I like the composition, colors and textures in the image. The only nit I have is that it took my eye a little while to find the tree. The light on the tree is nice, but the tree doesn't seem bold enough. Maybe it is just me.

Dan, I especially like the tonal range and the subtle light on the trees, it is wonderful. Maybe it could use a bit of sharpening for the trees? Could also be an effect of compression. Anyway, an appealing image.

Nice array of color and patterns with in the rocks, the tree is added plus. It seem to have a slight yellow cast, but it could be my monitor. Nice work Dan!

I love the colours and textures here, and the fall of the light was just right. The crop/composition seems to fit well...I am wondering if a slight selective boost in contrast on the main tree would make it stand out more...

The fact that this isn't getting more comments is very surprising. I'll echo Bill here, the different hues in the rock faces make this stand out. This is definitely an image where a large print would suck you right in.

Really nice textures and colors but the sun lighting up the trees is fantastic! I feel its a bit tight in the ULC and I find myself wanting to have a bit more room in the frame by that tree. Minor nit really. Great play of light and shadow!

Dan,
The light is beautiful here and what really tops this one off is the fascinating colors and details of the rock surrounding this tree. The only small nit I have is being undecided about the other tree in the UL. not a bit deal though. Nice job with the colors too.

A beautiful image, Dan. The spot light effect on the trees is striking and contrasts well with the ruggedness of the mountainside.
