Aspen Forest

There seems to be a common theme going on in this gallery today.

This one was taken on Grand Mesa in Colorado last fall. I liked how the light was hitting the treetops on this hillside during mid-morning. This image is also the current background for my Twitter page.

All C&C welcome. Thanks for looking!

I like the high contrast and wonderful peak color. Can't wait for autumn.

Great example of how fall color can just POP when illuminated by the sun. I like the diagonals of the tree tops and the aspen trunks add a nice touch as well. Nicely done all around!

Great light and color, Joshua. I really like the diagonals too. Seeing the tree trunks is especially nice. Good work!

Hi Joshua,

It seems to be an aerial photo and a beautiful one. I like the color and I also like the light you got on the photo.

As others have already said, the color and strong diagonals really make this work. There's not much I can offer for improvement, but you could consider a small crop off the left. The pattern of the diagonals seems to diminish a bit on that side and I think a crop might make a small improvement to an already fine image.

Wonderful lighting and color. The diagonals in the tree lines are a great addition.

The diagonals in the comp work really nicely and contrast with the vertical trunks.

Gorgeous image, Joshua. Love the diagonal flow to your composition, the aspen trunks, and the autumn color is phenomenal. The light is perfect. Superb.

Wonderful side lighting. Looks to be about perfect timing to light the tree tops, but nothing else. Nicely presented. :toast:
