I was too early for the spring wildflowers, but last March after a very wet winter the Sonoran Desert was as green as I've ever seen it.

Wow, the ground cover looks more like a golf course than a desert. What an interesting combination of elements, beautifully portrayed in the warm sidelight. The large saguaro (did I get that right?) works well to ballance the flaming red cliffs in the background.

RGB! Red, green, blue, and all lovely. Really nice light here, too.

Barry,

The green belies the term desert, the comp and light are very nice. I know it's there and I know it's natural but all that green is surreal.

At first i thought the saguaro might be too close to the right side, but i think it works well in this case cause it gives the feel of a spectator looking up at the imposing red cliffs. To be super picky, i think a slightly lower angle might have worked even better here (to set off more of the cactus against the blank sky) but this is a real pretty shot, Barry!
