love it! is it an illusion that the right side holds focus a little longer? i suppose it is.

As with all your shots, Bill, you really get the essence of the flower. Here I especially like the textures of the petals ( you can almost feel them !! ) and the droplets aren't bad either ( smile ! )

Bill, very nice. Both comps are good, but I thought the OOF stem in the previous post detracted from the image. I like the clean detail in this one. However, a little more stem, to better show the flower is drooping and not just an upside down image, may be even better. The raindrops are a big plus.

Oh, this is gorgeous. The water drops on the stem are perfect, and the detail and texture of the stem and the petals are wonderful. Great colors and light.

There is a clue in the water droplets that this is not an upside down image and that is the highlights are on the top of the droplet and the lighting. I like this one just slightly better than the first, but it's not due to either being a better image. If that makes any sense at all.

A perfect example of subject presence in an image Bill. If someone asked me to define it, this is one of the images I'd tell them to go see. Exceptional image for my tastes.

Bill:
Wow, such clarity and sharpness. Without looking at your technicals I was thinking that this is a stacked image with such great DOF and sharpness. Love everything about this image.. stem, the drops with the reflection of the flower within them, the color, the texture magnified by the droplets...etc. Fabulous.
