Sleepy Barn Owl

Another one from this series of Barn Owls, thanks for the comments on the previous image, this owl was very sleepy and relaxed, have cropped in slightly on this one. I know some don t like the ring but I am afraid a lot of the barn owls here do have them

Hi Karen, You've got a lovely series of Barn Owl images with really nice lighting. Love the complimentary background colour here and the perch is much more interesting than the norm. Graham

Karen, your Barn Owl series has been incredible and this is a great addition. The light is scumptious and the details and colors are top notch. I also like this perch, the colors and textures work very well with this subject. The band doesn't bother me, especially when you factor in its purpose. Wonderful image.

Beautiful lighting. Love the overall image but would probably take a little off the bottom to reduce the stump a bit.

I love the pose, the catchlight in his eye, and the colours! The lighting looks great! I don't mind the band around his leg at all. Awesome shot!

Wonderful pose and the darker background colors really make the owl stand out. I like the feather detail, catch light in one eye and the perch, way to go.

Love the colors here Karen and I also like the perch. Wonderful background. In my own photography I find leg bands frustrating even though I understand their value for birds.

Although I am sure you prefer the ring not be there, it does not bother me, Karen. A beautiful look at this owl. I do prefer this image over your last with less of the post showing on this one. The lighting is as good as it gets. This is an awesome image.

I usually delete my "banded" pictures, but would keep this because of the light and subject. Nice!
