Like the POV and DOF Carolyn. Really bold striations and colour in the leaves. Since we are months away from seeing any dogwood bloom this is a visual treat.

Beautifully done Carolyn. The bg bloom is handled particularly well for my tastes. Most of the time they seem to compete to me but this one doesn't. I like the comp as well.

Thanks Bob and Pat for your comments. Pat, I did run the desaturation tool over the back flower several times so it wouldn't compete for attention with the front flower. I'm glad it seemed to work.

Hi Carolyn! This is a really nice shot. I love the bold red and white colors. You made a great choice for comp and your DOF is very well handled, as is the lighting. My only nit is I would have liked to see the whole bloom but that is a minor nit and the photo is very strong as is.

Excellent creation Carolyn. Perfect DOF and colours. Only what I'd suggest to cange is the overal width of the photo. I'd like to see the entire fronf flower. Nicely done.

Dogwood is my all time favorite tree and flower. You did it proud in this image. The detail on the center of the bloom is excellent. And a great job of making the BG bloom support the main subject without drawing too much attention. Really creative presentation. As some others have said I also would like a slightly wider frame to complete both blooms.

Really nice comp Carolyn. I like the curved branch under the FG flower, and great job keeping the blossoms separated. The colors and detail in the FG flower are exceptional!

I love dogwoods Carolyn and I like your take on this. I love the OOF dowgwood mirrored in the back because I really think it makes this image. Beautiful detail and color on the main subject. Nice work.
