This is the same view as my last post,
"Leaners" (see my comment below for a crop of that post) -- but it was taken seven years later. After trying for several years, I could not find the same snow conditions, but I like the vertical reflections in this one. I compared the two shots and noticed that the foreground tree is leaning eight degrees more this year than it was in 2004. I wonder how long it will take to become a bridge across the brook.

You have really captured the tranquil mood and stillness of this place. It must be wonderful just to sit here quietly and contemplate. I can see why you keep returning to this spot and wish I could be there too.
ZACK: This is a sand-bottom section of Gasher Brook, an little stream in the Daketown State Forest, not far from Lake Desolation Road. The problem with getting to it in the winter is that there is no place to park. I used my 4WD to "dig out" a spot in the snow banks. Got luck this year, and did not have to dig out.
I'm guessing your shot is one of the tribs to the Hudson around Warrensburg, right?
